Weston T. Eguchi is a partner in the Corporate & Financial Services Department and a member of the Finance Department. Weston has represented hedge funds, banks, financial institutions and other parties in connection with special situations financing transactions, Chapter 11 and 15 commercial bankruptcy cases, out-of-court workouts and distressed asset sales. He regularly advises buy-and sell-side firms on investments in distressed and stressed credits. Weston also has substantial experience related to cross-border insolvencies, derivatives and other “safe harbor” financial contracts, structured finance transactions and pensions-related issues. Weston was among a group of professionals worldwide selected for the first class of the International Insolvency Institute’s NextGen Leadership Program, and was also selected to participate in the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges’ (NCBJ) Next Generation program. He has served as an observer delegate to the Working Group V (insolvency) meetings of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).
